My Points

If you search for MyPoints reviews, you're guaranteed to find a few positive ones and a ton of negative.

For those who would like more information on how the site works from a member's point of view, here are the Pros and Cons.

When I first signed up, I was wary about doing any of the deals. So, I stuck to taking surveys and watching videos. You can only earn a few points by watching videos.

Sometimes, it can be 22 short videos for 6 points. Or, 15 videos for 4 points. Either way, that can be frustrating. But, I earned over two thousand points by taking surveys.

Some surveys offer a high amount of points and some offer a lower amount. I got disqualified for quite a few before I got to two-thousand points.

After I accumulated enough points for a reward, I scanned the rewards section, noticing a few of the gift cards started at 480 points, 700 points, and so on. Gift cards starting at 480 points are equal to $3 and gift cards starting at 700-790 points are equal to $5.

There’s not much you can buy with $3 or $5 online, unless it’s an e-book, a game, or music.

If you want to order something and still have enough to cover shipping fees, you’ll need more than $3 or $5 dollars. I ended up going for the $10 Ebay gift card, which was 1,580 points. The gift card was sent to my email quick with no problems.

With that out of the way, I decided to try and earn other ways.

Ways To Earn Points

You can earn points by watching videos, shopping, printing coupons, doing surveys, playing games and the deals page. The deals page is where I’ve earned the most points. Those offers will help you earn thousands of points.

A few are trials, but most of them are paid offers. I usually do three or four of the paid offers if it's something I want to purchase.

Before you shop on MyPoints DOWNLOAD SCORE. SCORE is located under MORE (Hover over MORE and click Download Score).

SCORE will notify you when you have a chance to earn points with MyPoints in your search results. SCORE also lets you know what coupons are available and tracks your purchases.

To earn points for your purchases click GET REWARDED. When you click GET REWARDED tracking is activated.

MyPoints offer rewards in the form of gift cards or you can use your points to put money into your PayPal account.

Recently, they’ve added prepaid Master and Visa cards.

The Positive

I received every gift card I redeemed.

When I started doing deals, I started with the deals on TrialPay. If you click on the deals page and scroll all the way to the bottom. You will see the DEALS from their partners: TrialPay, Revenue Universe, and Offer Toro.

I’ve dealt with TrialPay on different survey sites and found their customer service to be great. If I complete a deal with TrialPay through MyPoints and it doesn’t credit, all I have to do is click on the TrialPay support tab and submit a ticket.

After going through the process of submitting proof of purchase, I usually have my points the next day. I rarely do any of the deals from Revenue Universe and Offer Toro, as TrialPay has the highest paying deals between the three.

The Negative

After completing a deal (the deals above their partners), some credit right away, others don’t. When this happens, I have to contact MyPoints customer service. The first time I submitted a ticket, it took TWO MONTHS to get a response and receive my points.

I wanted to deactivate my account because it should never take a company that long to give a response. That’s bad customer service. But, I’ve earned a lot on MyPoints, so I decided to continue earning.

The last three times I had to submit a ticket, it took 3 to 4 days for them to respond.

Now, that’s way better than the former.

All things considered, I really like MyPoints. And I hope I never have to wait two months again to receive a response from customer service.

If you are a member of MyPoints I would love to hear about your experience. If you're not a member, would you ever consider joining?
